Rotorua weather: What's in store for November

As the weather is expected to get warmer Rotorua moves out of one of the driest months the city has seen in years.
The average rainfall for October is 114mm. However, last month the average rainfall dropped to 75.7mm.
New Zealand Meteorological Society member Brian Holden said it was always hard to predict rain compared with temperature and last month's rainfall was low compared with earlier data.
The October rainfall from 2009 was 171mm, while 2008 was 188mm and the most rainfall for October was in 2005 at 255mm.
Mr Holden said the maximum temperature for last month was 18.2 with a minimum of 6.3, which was pretty average for October.
He said based on weather reports from the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research, Rotorua should expect average rainfalls.
