New Zealand's Got Talent judge Ali Campbell, formerly of British band UB40, told The Daily Post he had enjoyed being part of the show but if he was to do it again he would change one thing.
"If I was to do it again I'd be a bit more critical," he said. "I've never done anything like that before."
But he said he wouldn't want to be critical to the point of making a child cry.
He said the talent on show had been outstanding. "I think it's been a brilliant series ... the most watched show," Campbell told The Daily Post.
He said he had seen "some great stuff" and, although he wouldn't reveal the winner, described the winning act as "fabulous".
New Zealand's Got Talent will screen at 7.30pm tomorrow on TV1.
