Two young Rotorua netball fans enjoyed the opportunity of a lifetime when they met their Magic and Pulse heroes on centre court at Monday's ANZ Premiership match in Rotorua.

Kaitlin Pola, 10, and Nikita Pola, 13, won the opportunity through the ANZ Future Captains competition to meet Magic captain Casey Kopua and Pulse captain Katrina Rore and lead the teams onto centre court at the start of the match.

Nikita, a John Paul College student, has been playing netball for eight years. Kaitlin, of St Mary's Catholic School, has been playing for six years.

"My favourite part was giving high fives to the team. Casey Kopua is my favourite player so I liked getting to meet her," Nikita said.

"I really liked getting my photo taken with the captains, especially Casey Kopua," Kaitlin said.

ANZ head of sponsorship Sue McGregor said ANZ was giving 94 Kiwi children around New Zealand the chance to be part of the Premiership and meet their netball heroes as a Future Captain.

"We are thrilled to be able to offer this incredible opportunity to aspiring young netballers, and hope that by giving them the chance to stand on centre court with their heroes they will be inspired to keep their training up and put in 110 per cent at their own games."

New Zealand netballers and fans can enter the draw for help with their own goals, whether it's a leg-up with new gear, coaching tips or support with a club's aspirations.
