The Taupo-based Greenlea Rescue helicopter prepare for the hover load the patient back into the helicopter at Lake Taupo yesterday.
A woman was flown to Rotorua Hospital after falling from her mountain bike on a trail at Lake Taupo.
The crash happened yesterday, several hundred metres from where the track met the lake at a secluded western bay. The area was inaccessible other than by boat or helicopter.

Greenlea Rescue helicopter was able to hover unload a medic and a search and rescue team on the beach who recovered the woman back to the beach before she was hover loaded back into the helicopter for the flight to hospital, pilot Nat Every said.
Last night the helicopter also transferred a patient with a serious condition to Middlemore Hospital.
