Monster fun for school holidays

MONSTER MAGIC: Isaac Kiwara with a recycled monster he made at Bunnings Warehouse in Whakatane yesterday as part of school holiday activities. Despite dodgy weather conditions, record numbers of school children have taken part in surfing lessons, drama classes, a winter pool party, fishing, horse riding, golf and snorkelling in Eastern Bay of Plenty school holiday programmes. The pool party alone attracted 500 children. The main programme is run by Sport Bay of Plenty in conjunction with Whakatane organisations and businesses.
