Man killed in hunting incident named

Police have named the man who died in a hunting incident in Te Kaha this morning.

He was 27-year-old Carlos Tauhou Ngamoki.

Mr Ngamoki was from Te Kaha.

In a statement police said an investigation into his death was continuing and no further information was available at this stage.

A party of three men including Mr Ngamoki were hunting about midnight when a firearm was discharged and Mr Ngamoki died at the scene.
