A 22-year-old man was flown to Waikato Hospital with multiple injuries after his ute collided with a power pole near Reporoa this morning.
The BayTrust Rescue Helicopter met emergency services at the scene and the man was flown to Waikato Hospital in a serious condition with multiple injuries.
Pilot BenFry said the helicopter was used due to the distance and "time critical nature of the injuries".
The crash happened on Plateau Rd, about 8.30am.
A hospital spokeswoman said the man was still serious but stable in the High Dependency Unit.
