A focus on health is behind a special health expo being held tomorrow.
BOP (Rotorua) Indian Association president Shashi Patel, who is organising the expo, said it was initially aimed at the Indian population but had been broadened to include the wider ethnic community in Rotorua.
Running from 1pm toabout 5.30pm at the Gandhi Hall in Gibson St, the health expo will feature a range of speakers and displays including chiropractors, diabetic nurses, dentists, optometrists and St John representatives.
Mr Patel said the aim of the expo was to inform the community of the services available. It's the first time they've run a health expo.
Mr Patel said he hoped the community would find the expo helpful.
It will follow on from a fundraiser which the local association was running today in conjunction with Absolute Dental, which offered discounted check-ups, with all the proceeds from the day going to the Indian Foundation.
