Falcon has never been to Rotorua but said he'd been told of its distinctive "sulphur smell". He was confident of being able to handle it, joking that fellow band member Scotty was smelly.
"I'm just excited to go places I've never been before," Falcon said.
He was looking forward to visiting Rotorua and hoped it would be a great gig. He urged Rotorua residents to head to The Shed to support the band.
"We want it to be more than a band playing, we want to put on a show."
He said he joined Shotgun Alley because he was a big fan of their music and had been friends with the band members for a few years.
"I jumped at the chance to join."
Shotgun Alley has performed with many New Zealand bands, as well as international stars such as Slash, Alice Cooper, Steel Panther and ZZ Top and their debut album was released on October 3.
Their tour was set to start tonight, supporting Def Leppard in Auckland before tomorrow night's show in Rotorua.
Shotgun Alley will perform at Mt Maunganui's Brewers Bar on Friday, before concerts in Napier, Wellington, Auckland, Whangarei, Dunedin and Christchurch.
Tickets for the Rotorua gig cost $20 and are available from The Shed and from www.eventfinder.co.nz
