You might remember a little something we used to say around here: We live here because we love it.

It may no longer be our slogan but it still holds true - we love Rotorua and we think everyone else should too.

And we thought, as something special to kick off our new-look paper, we would launch a series exploring everything that's great about our city.

We've started our Rotorua Pride campaign today with our piece on p3 about a local man who travels to work in Australia but chooses to live in Rotorua because of our fantastic lifestyle. We'll go on to explore Rotorua's highlights in all different areas of life and business including property and the economy, our biking culture, cuisine, geothermal, farming, Maori culture and conferencing and events. Plus we will meet a family and follow their journey as they move to Rotorua and look for a home and jobs.

Tell us why you are proud to call Rotorua home - or if you're stuck elsewhere, why you wish you were here. Email news@dailypost.co.nz with a pic of yourself and a line about your Rotorua Pride. You can also upload submissions through our website, by going to www.rotoruadailypost.co.nz/your-story.
