A glamorous charity event raising money for Operation Sugar is a sell out - and is all set to be absolutely fabulous.
The event will see those attending dressed up for the premiere of the Absolutely Fabulous movie in Rotorua tomorrow.
Event organiser Jill Higgins of Mistress of Cakes said it was a full-house event, and she hoped to raise $1000 for Operation Sugar.
She said it was a great cause to fundraise for because when a child got a cake their eyes lit up.
"It's about the joy the cake brings."
Operation Sugar is a volunteer New Zealand-wide group which makes and decorates free custom birthday cakes, and provides photography at the birthday celebrations of children who have a life threatening illness and/or require frequent hospitalisation.
At the fundraising event, Bidvest are donating the canapes and Vetro Rotorua will be offering a discount for the liquid refreshment.
There will also be a grand prize for two up for grabs, which consists of bed and breakfast at the Millennium Hotel, half day electric bike hire, picnic lunch and Tree walk at The Redwoods.
The grand prize is for the best dressed look-a-like star of the Absolutely Fabulous movie.
The accommodation section of the grand prize was donated by Beth Millard of Bayleys.
