Alzheimers Whanganui has $2300 more in the coffers, thanks to the 2018 Property Brokers Round the Bridges fun run/walk.
The organisation received the proceeds from the 41st event which was run in conjunction with the Wanganui Chronicle, NZME team leader Whanganui Gene Toyne said.
"Every year all the proceeds from the day are donated to a charity and this year our chosen recipient was Alzheimers Whanganui," Toyne said.
"We had a few changes to the event this year. We moved it forward to March to take advantage of the better weather and that worked really well - it was a great day.
"Historically, the event has gone round the bridges but this year we had to make a slight change to the route because of the major roadworks near the City Bridge.
"Hopefully next year we will be back to the normal route but we do intend to run it again in March because the weather is much better than in May when it has traditionally be held."
Toyne thanked Property Brokers for its continuing support of the event and other businesses that contributed to category prizes and spot prizes.
