ROGER MORONEY The latest warm-to-hot rumour doing the rounds is that American patriot rocker-balladeer Bruce Springsteen will take the big stage at the 2009 Mission Estate Winery Concert. The concert will be held on February 28 and the artist will be confirmed at the end of next week. The date announcement is oneof the latest in the event's history and led to rumours the concert would be canned. But Sport and Entertainment director of operations Garry Craft said it was all go. ``Hawke's Bay is always overwhelmed with demand for accommodation during the weekend of the concert, and we are pleased to be able to confirm the date to help both concert fans and the tourism industry,' Mr Craft said. As to the identity of the artist, he was giving nothing away, except to say ``it will be a big surprise' and that ``this one is coming a little out of left field'. Mr Craft said advance Mission Club member tickets would be available ``very soon' and he urged members to keep an eye on the www.missionconcert.co.nz site. ``This year the website also features an accommodation listing service which provides fans with a range of options listed by local property owners and agents.' Back on the subject of the artist, Mr Craft said he was confident the 2009 event would be ``one of the greatest ever presented'.
