Fans of heavy music and stunning live-shows will get their money's worth at next year's Big Day Out.
American progressive-rock band Tool and German industrial metallers Rammstein were announced today to play the January 21 event. For both bands it is their second stint at the 12-hour music festival at Auckland's
Mt Smart Stadium.
Other international acts include M.I.A., Iggy and the Stooges, LCD Soundsytem, Nick Cave's Grinderman, the Black Keys, Die Antwoord, Lupe Fiasco, Primal Scream, Ratatat, Wolfmother, and the Deftones.
They are joined by New Zealand acts Shihad, Kids of 88, Six60, Streetchant, The Naked and Famous and The Naked and Famous.
A second line-up announcement will be made in November.
