The competition is Australia's richest singing competition for young opera and classical singers and the 24-year-old was the only Kiwi to make it to the final.
The soprano is Lisa Harper-Brown, who has wowed audiences around the world singing in Australia, throughout Europe, and in New Zealand.
Ms Heath said their original soprano, Anna Leese, "regrettably pulled out". Up and coming Kiwi opera singer Joel Amosa is the bass.
The Napier Civic Choir joins with the Hawke's Bay Orchestra for their performances tonight at 7:30pm and on Sunday at 2:30pm.
On Saturday there will be an orchestral performance by the Hawke's Bay Orchestra alone at 7:30pm.
Jose Aparicio will be conducting and Ms Heath said they were delighted to be welcoming back New Zealand Symphony Orchestra concert master Vesa-Matti Leppanen and principal cellist Andrew Joyce in Brahms' late masterwork, the Double Concerto.
Dvorak's Seventh Symphony will also be performed and is regarded by many music critics as his greatest and finest work.
His music was inspired by the struggle for a Czech homeland so is often dark and stormy, yet with moments of sheer "vibrance" and, eventually, triumph.
"People are in for a very special Saturday night with two amazing soloists," Ms Heath said.
The two choral and orchestral performances will be held at the Waiapu Cathedral in Napier.
Tickets can be purchased at the door at $39 for one concert or $75 for two concerts for adults and $15 per concert for students. For more information visit: napierchoir.org.nz.
