A 62-year old Hawke's Bay man who received serious facial injuries after he got "tangled" in an industrial lathe is in a stable condition at Hutt Valley Hospital.
The man is being kept in the plastics unit, after surgery a week ago. He received the injuries on Thursday, July 21, in the sawing machine at Patton Engineering Ltd in Whakatu.
Department of Labour spokesman Eric Janse van Rensburg said inspectors were still investigating the incident. .
