Justice Graham Panckhurst to lead Royal Commission

Cabinet has approved a Royal Commission of Inquiry to investigate what caused the explosion at the Pike River coal mine that killed 29 men.
The commission would also look at aspects of the safety regime and rescue operations that applied at the mine, Prime Minister John Key said.
Sitting High Court Judge Graham Panckhurst would lead the inquiry, with two other experts to be appointed.
