HINERANGI VAIMOSO
Is it Harry who dies, Voldemort or Harry's girlfriend Cho Chang?
All questions should be answered by about lunchtime tomorrow when thousands of fans flock to bookstores across Hawke's Bay ready to tear into their very own copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
It's the seventh book and supposed
to be the last in the series so millions of fans around the world will be queuing up to find out how author JK Rowling brought the adventure to an end.
The Warehouse in Napier has put together their final preparations with a shrine-like display dedicated to the epic tale.
Four queues will be reserved for Harry Potter customers, staff have their costumes on stand by and security have set their plan.
Everything is in place except the bricks of gold themselves and that's how it will be until 11am said senior manager, Peter Cowan.
"The security on these books has been tight. They were moved in and put up by the roof out of everyone's reach."
"It's all embargoed so putting it up in the air means we can resist the temptation. Plus I don't know if leaking it is worth the cost of getting caught."
So while the secret is safe with Mr Cowan, others around the world have already let the secret out over the internet. The release kicks off at 11.01am and the book is set to retail for about $40, although a price war could begin anytime. Beattie and Forbes bookstore in Napier is also getting in the spirit of Harry Potter by holding a party to mark the occasion with prizes for the children's book collection and best costume.
