Trustees of the Central Hawke's Bay (CHB) Consumer Power Trust have appointed Hawke's Bay Regional councillor Fenton Wilson as a director for Centralines Limited.
Wilson has been a Hawke's Bay regional councillor since May 2009 and is a director of OSPRI New Zealand Limited, which manages the National Animal Identificationand Tracing and TBfree programmes.
He is also chairman of the Wairoa Community Development Trust, a trustee of Predator Free New Zealand and a director of Hawke's Bay Tourism, while farming a 235ha sheep and beef property in Wairoa.
Previously Wilson was operations manager at iFarm NZ Limited.
Trust chairman Alistair Setter said Wilson will bring a solid professional capability, backed by proven experience to the role.
"We are thrilled to have someone of Mr Wilson's calibre join the Centralines Board. He is a great advocate for Central Hawke's Bay and we are excited about the valuable contribution he will make to Centralines," said Setter.
Other directors on the Centralines board are chairman Jon Nichols, Wendie Harvey, Ian Walker and Derek Walker.
