Fashion, food come together in style

A fusion of fashion and food made for an exciting evening at the Edible Fashion Awards in Havelock North last night.

The awards,in their 12th year, required participants to create outfits from edible food items, imitation food items or food packaging with the theme Myth & Legend.

Event director Kelie Jensen said the event was a local affair with entries from throughout the region. Everyone else involved in the show, including the judges, MC and performers, had connections to Hawke's Bay.

Finalists from more than 100 entries were chosen last night at registration, pre-judging and the preliminary showcase. Winners will be announced at the Evening Extravaganza at Peak Vision Centre tonight.
