Hawke's Bay's wild weekend wind is set to continue into Tuesday, but this time it'll bring cold and rain with it.
MetService Meteorologist Mmathapelo Makgabutlane said by 4pm on Monday a severe wind warning of gales of up to 110km/h in exposed place had yet to cause any major damage or disruptions to the region.
But the winds did eventuate to a moderate degree - the highest gust for the day before 4pm was measured at 96km/h on the Takapau Plains.
Cape Kidnappers was also windy with gusts of 87km/h.
A strong wind warning was in place until 10pm on Monday for Hawke's Bay south of Hastings and the Tararua District.
