Police are seeking a third person in relation to a sword assault in Hastings at the weekend.
A man received serious injuries and was taken to Hawke's Bay Hospital after being assaulted with a sword at a Park Road North address on Sunday.
A woman also required medical attention following the incident.
They have since been discharged.
Flaxmere man Zane Lewis, 27, and Hastings woman Amelia Stewart, 25, have since been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and aggravated burglary.
The pair appeared in the Hastings District Court on Wednesday and were remanded in custody to next appear on June 12.
