Hawke's Bay has plenty of activities and events for people of all ages to enjoy. We list 7 of the best on offer this weekend.

1. Elite Wildside Presents Foam and Glow, Clive Community Hall

Elite Wildside is bringing Foam and Glow to Hawke's Bay with a range of DJs and a large-scale lighting and sound system. A foam-like substance will take the form of bubbles and glow lights but it will be safe. General admission is $20 and VIP admission is $30. The event starts at 7.30pm tonight but at 7pm there is a chance for people to ask questions to staff at the door. 2. Blossom Parade Food Court and Blossom Parade, Hastings CBD


Hastings Blossom Festival presents the Blossom Food Court, which will run from 9am to noon, with the annual Blossom Parade starting at 11am today. There will be an array of food stalls and Auckland-based company The White Face Crew will be in the crowd, bringing their trademark physical comedy and roving tomfoolery. The parade will feature more than 60 floats and the prizegiving will wrap up the celebration of spring at 1pm.

3. Country Music Round Up of Legends, Cactus Jacks, Waipukurau

This event is to celebrate Cactus Jacks' second birthday. The event will feature talented performers singing songs from George Strait, Charley Pride, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline Tanya Tucker and more. The Vagabond Jacks Airstream Food Caravan will be on site from 6pm tonight, with the music starting at 7pm.

4. Film: Kim Dotcom - Caught In The Web, MTG Napier

The New Zealand International Film Festival presents Kim Dotcom - Caught In The Web at MTG, Napier, from 2pm today. 5. Napier Urban Farmers' Market, Clive Square

Enjoy freshly roasted coffee, divine treats and all the produce you need to cook a true local meal. The market offers a chance for people to shop local and enjoy some of the Bay's top produce. Talk to the growers and taste the different, unique flavours. Today, 9am to 1pm.

6. Spring Fling - Hatuma Lime Half Marathon, Waipukurau Racecourse

The picturesque 21.1km course takes in the entire circumference of Lake Hatuma, with the start and finish at the Waipukurau Racecourse. The event's sponsor, Hatuma Lime Company, will provide team transport around the course and between transition points to help reduce traffic flow and safety of all participants. The race is open to walkers and runners competing as an individual or relay team (each member completing about 5km each), catering for all abilities. Register on the day for $5. The event begins at 8am tomorrow and finishes at about 1pm.

7. Hawke's Bay Fabric Hoarders Social Sewing, Keirunga Gardens

This is a group for sewers, dressmakers, quilters and fabricaholics, who love beautiful fabric and making things out of it for themselves, their friends and their families. Bring a sewing machine, extension cord, multi-way power board and supplies. There will be a $7 cash fee for the venue hire. A table, chair, iron and ironing board will be there, too. Please RSVP as soon as possible if you are coming and update it if you can no longer attend, so someone else can have the spot if there's a waiting list.
