A man charged with the sexual assault of an 87-year-old Hastings woman in her home has kept name suppression.
The man appeared in the Hastings District Court today where he is facing two counts of unlawful sexual connection and breaching release conditions.
He is yet to enter pleas to the charges.
His lawyer, Matt Phelps, applied for name suppression to continue on the grounds of mental health.
He sought a four week remand for mental health reports to be obtained.
