Anti-family violence advocate David White will be speaking in Gisborne tomorrow in a bid to build safer communities by ending family violence.
Mr White’s daughter, Helen Meads, was killed by her husband in 2009 but the bereft father has not yet allowed himself to grieve.
He and his wife, Pam,
have been helping to raise their grandchildren, and have also been campaigning for an end to family violence, speaking to groups across the country including prison inmates.
Mr White has published two books and is currently touring 71 electorates in 71 days with his Harm Ends Futures Begin message, to share his vision for violence-free families and communities
Tomorrow’s talk will be in the upper room of the Salvation Army Hall, Gladstone Road from 1.30pm.
