Sleep elusive as hot, sticky nights continue

Yesterday was Gisborne's warmest day so far this year — but still below the 30-degree mark.

MetService recorded a maximum of 27.7 at the airport yesterday.

Overnight was warm too, remaining above 19 degrees to 3am.

A week of warm nights and high humidity in the 60 to 70 percent range has made sleep difficult for many. — RH
