A man was treated for minor injuries late yesterday afternoon after the vehicle he was in left State Highway 2, went through a fence, and rolled before coming to rest in a paddock.
The crash happened just north of Te Karaka, between Cliff Road and Dymock Road, at about 4.30pm.
“It was a light truck and it rolled a couple of times before it came to rest,” a senior Te Karaka firefighter said.
“The driver, a builder, was in the truck on his own.”
The 27-year-old was out of the vehicle when the first emergency services arrived.
