Sport Gisborne Tairawhiti (SGT) received eight applications in the second round of Tu Manawa Active Aotearoa funding totalling more nearly $120,000.
The second funding round closed at the end of February.
“The eight applications were for a total amount of $118,383 and we have $90,000 to disperse this round,” said
SGT active communities adviser Sarah Pocock. “The approval panel will have their decisions finalised later this month.”
The money supports organisations in Te Tairawhiti to deliver play, active recreation and sport to young people.
“There is one more funding round this financial year and three more years of committed funding from Sport NZ.
