Police have released the name of the man who died in a motorcycle crash in Ōpōtiki on Friday.

He was David Jonathan Kanuta, 49, of Ōpōtiki.

The fatal crash was on Bridge St in Ōpotiki at 6.43pm on November 20. Later that evening, police confirmed the rider had died.

Inquiries into the crash are ongoing.
