What's your proudest work moment?
Opening the first beauty clinic in a Southland town where I only knew two people, and building it up to a five-therapist clinic.
Winning an Environ case study, which involved working with a client over a three-month period, documenting her skin, the treatments and products we used, and recording the results we achieved. Winning this allowed me to travel to South Africa to extend on my training with Dr Des, the founder of Environ.
What training/experience have you had to prepare for your role?
My initial beauty therapy training in Auckland has been supplemented with advanced training with various product ranges, advanced skin analysis, cosmetic chemistry, health, nutrition, customer service ... the list goes on.
What's the best piece of career advice you've received?
Never stop learning, and surround yourself with supportive people who aspire to be their best.
What's the most important thing your current role has taught you?
There is always a reason to smile, though sometimes the reason may not be obvious.
How would you describe your work wardrobe?
I have always looked to have a uniform that is practical, dressy and smart; this year we have tunics and a wrap dress.
Tranquillo Beauty Clinic will be doing the makeup for the 15 indulge Bay Model finalists for the show on September 26.
