The man had been sleeping in his van when he was woken by the unknown male offender who allegedly tried stealing the vehicle.

After a confrontation and struggle, the offender ran from the scene but returned about 30 minutes later and approached the woman, who is unrelated to the first victim.

Police said the offender demanded the keys to her vehicle, but when she did not comply he stole some personal items from her before running off.

The two victims, although traumatised, were not physically injured in the incident.

They were now receiving counselling from Victim Support.
