There were bouncy castles, food stalls, raffles and more to help celebrate the first anniversary of Eagles Academy Charitable Trust, an organisation that helps "at risk" young men in the Western Bay.
Held on Saturday in the Welcome Bay Tavern car park, people from the wider community gathered to enjoy the festivities.
Fourteen-year-old Nathan Thompson was one of the many youth who use the service. On Saturday, he celebrated with Bear Thurber, a Wilderness Disciplining Manager with the trust.
Mr Thurber was involved in a similar programme in the United States before becoming involved with the trust in Tauranga. He said the organisation had been well-received in the short time it had been operating.
