The SCOUTS New Zealand National Mudslide Day is this Saturday.
And with a longer slide the fun factor should be huge.
Manawatu Horizons Scouts are running a fun day of activities for the public from 11am to 4pm at Scoutlands, 316 Kaitoke Road, Whanganui (beside Lake Wiritoa).
The event is open to youth of all ages.
"Alongside the new, faster and longer water slide we will have a range of activities including kayaking, gumboot throwing and much more," scout spokesman Daniel Koehler said.
The event will cost $5 per person (no EFTPOS available).
"Come along for a great day out with friends and family," said Mr Koehler.
