Who is New Zealand's best teacher?
The search began last week to find the country's best educator, as well as recognise and reward the hard work of those across the country.
The Warehouse Stationery initiative runs throughout this month and invites students, parents, and members of the public to acknowledge those who have gone above and beyond, by nominating them for Teacher of the Year.
Participants can also show their appreciation for a favourite teacher by sending a personalised e-card with a message of thanks.
The Warehouse Stationery Teacher of the Year will receive a prize of $2000 cash and a $500 Warehouse Stationery gift card.
The three judges, who will decide the Teacher of the Year, will be broadcaster and former teacher Jay Reeve, and Emma Bettle and Kylie Power from School Kit.
Pejman Okhovat, chief executive of Warehouse Stationery, said it was important to acknowledge the vital part that teachers play in the lives of New Zealanders every day.
"All too often, teachers go above and beyond to ensure each child has a positive educational journey and we are proud to be able to celebrate the good work they do, " Mr Okhovat said.
To nominate your favourite teacher, go to www.teacheroftheyear.co.nz. Entries must be received no later than September 30.
