Young dancers at Bulls Primary School got a small taste of what Royal New Zealand Ballet dancers experience every day.
The company's dance educator Pagan Dorgan visited the school on Tuesday to work with groups of 20 students.
"The Royal New Zealand Ballet are touring Romeo and Juliet this month," said teacher Shannon Skelton-Morris.

"The students are learning dances to music from the production."
Ms Skelton-Morris said most of the students have no previous dance experience and some have taken to it like "ducks to water".
"It's quite surprising to see which children have an aptitude for dance," she said.
Bulls students are also rehearsing for their up-coming production of A Time to Shine and Ms Skelton-Morris said the professional dance tuition would give them a great boost.
There is also a group of 12 pupils rehearsing for the Jump Jam Kidz Aerobics national championship in October.
"Our group got second last year so we are hoping to do well again this year," said the teacher.
Ms Dorgan, who travels New Zealand working with schools to help inspire a love of dance, said she enjoys the variety of working with different age groups.
"Most of my work is with older children in intermediate and high schools.
"These children are working very well but I do enjoy the challenge of working with unruly teenagers."
Bulls School will celebrate its 150th anniversary in October this year. Visit the website to learn more or to register.
