SQUASH: Wanganui squash players Paul Tuffin and Kent Darlington make up half the Central senior men's team for the national squash championships in North shore.
National representative Josh Greenfield (Rangitikei), ranked No 4 in New Zealand, leads the men's team, with Wanganui team-mates Paul Tuffin and Kent Darlington, ranked No 11 and No 12 respectively, filling the second and third spots.
New Zealand under-19 champion Chris McEldowney (Okato), is tough opposition at No 4 and will be hard to beat.
The reserves from Squash Palmerston North are Matt Spooner and Glenn Carson.
In the women's team, Paula Darlington (Wanganui) yet again shows her strength in filling the No 1 slot, with New Zealand Junior representatives Jackie Laurenson and Amanda Cranston (both Ohakune) at No 2 and No 3.
Recently promoted A grader, Michayla Kerr (Palmerston North) takes the fourth spot. The reserves, also from Squash Palmerston North, are Alison Wilson and Sam Jack.
The National Championship Individuals, being played at the North Shore Squash Club, run from September 2-4, with the teams championships played on September 5 and 6.
