More than $500 was raised and a few firsts were knocked off by More FM staff when they took to the Splash Centre slide in onesies.

While announcer Sue Miller had never worn a onesie, fellow morning announcer Craig Hanford had never done the Splash Centre waterslide.

The two feats were combined in the "first annual waterslide Onsie-a-thon", said More FM general manager Rod Bannister.

Other staff joined in and in one hour $500 was raised for cancer research and support charity Relay For Life, which is on the weekend of March 7 and 8 in Wanganui.

Mr Bannister completed the most runs in the 60 minutes, clocking up 28 slides.
