The Ministry of Health reported 84 new cases of Covid-19 in the Whanganui region on Tuesday. Photo / Bevan Conley

There were 84 new community cases of Covid-19 in the Whanganui region, the Ministry of Health reported on Tuesday.

The ministry also said three people were in Whanganui Hospital with Covid-19.

Nationally, the ministry reported 8436 community cases of Covid-19, 389 of which were in the hospital.

The ministry also reported the deaths of 18 people with Covid-19.
