Melissa McGrath pleaded guilty to three charges of fraud in Whanganui District Court and this week and was convicted and sentenced to four months' community detention.
She will have a curfew from 7pm to 7am which will start tomorrow .
Judge David Cameron handed down six-months supervision as well where the 37-year old would have to attend counselling as directed by her probation officer.
McGrath must also pay reparation of $895, $350 and $114.99.
On April 22 last year McGrath listed an iPhone on Trade Me. The buyer paid her $300 but did not receive the phone.
