Joan Richardson received a National Party Presidential Citation from party president Judy Kirk at a function last night to honour her late husband, Ross's, contribution to the party. Mrs Kirk said it was sad that Mr Richardson was not with the party faithful last night to receive the citation for
a special person who built up the party membership in the last decade. "Ross did wonderful work in his community as well as for the National Party, and you supported him in his work," Mrs Kirk said as she presented Mrs Richardson with the citation.Mrs Richardson said she was overwhelmed, and everything her husband did was never a burden.
