A Whanganui man on parole is back in prison after being caught using a stolen debit card at BP Connect on London St.
Lance Urick Mcgee pleaded guilty to taking and using a document for pecuniary advantage when he appeared in the Whanganui District Court on Tuesday.
Police prosecutor Senior Sergeant Stephen Butler said the wallet was stolen about 12.15pm on December 29.
Later that day Mcgee was captured on CCTV cameras at BP Connect using the victim's Kiwibank debit card for a transaction of $77 paid by payWave.
Mcgee also pleaded guilty to possessing methamphetamine after police conducted a search warrant at Mcgee's property on February 1, and found 0.08g of meth in a pill container.
