Fire safety and police investigators are determining the cause of a fire that destroyed an unoccupied house in Bulls.
Bulls fire chief Brian Carter said there were multiple calls about 11.30pm on Sunday, December 10, to the property near the Bridge Motor Lodge in Bridge St.
"The house and two of three outbuildings behind it were well involved when we got there," Mr Carter said.
"The fire was spreading into long grass heading to the river which was the biggest concern for me. It took about two-and-a-half hours to get it under control."
Mr Carter said the house was not occupied at the time with the owners in the process of cleaning it up. There was some furniture in the house and property in the sheds.
