First it was the Wanganui District Council - now it's the turn of the Whanganui District Health Board to decide on the future of its committees.
At the full board meeting on Friday WDHB members discussed whether they wished the committee structure to be changed, although no decision was made.
WDHB has three main committees - Hospital Advisory, Community and Public Health Advisory, and Disability Support Advisory committees. The last two are combined into one.
It was the first time the board had met since the local government elections in early October. The new board will be sworn in next month, although it will be virtually the same board. Out of the seven elected members, only one has changed - Clive Solomon will be replaced by newcomer Jenny Duncan.
While the present board cannot make decisions for the incoming board, it can make recommendations.
