Hillcrest Library will be closed until Tuesday while new circulation counters are installed.
During the closure, library users are encouraged to access all services, including borrowing and internet, from any of Hamilton City Libraries' five other sites.
The after hours return bins will remain open at Hillcrest Library.
Hamilton City Libraries service delivery manager Robyn Pengelly says the counter upgrade is part of Hamilton City Council's library maintenance programme and will offer extra efficiency to patrons.
"We are mindful the temporary closure may inconvenience some customers but we are confident any of our other libraries will meet the needs of customers.
"We look forward to providing our customers with an improved experience once the counters are installed," she said.
