A group of Western Heights High School volleyball players have been selected to attend a New Zealand training camp in Wellington.

The eight boys were selected following their performance at the nationals last month in Palmerston North.

A total of 40 volleyball players have been selected to attend the camp during the up-coming school holidays, which will see two New Zealand teams selected (under-20 and under-18) and two North Island teams selected (under-20 and under-18).

The Western Heights players attending are Kahurangi Robinson, 17, Taiwere Morrison, 15, Chase Curtis, 15, Joel Ropitini, 16, Talor Kahu, 18, Kuratea Broughton, 15, Masiu Vainikolo, 16, and Daniel Rakei, 16.
