Olympic kayaker Lisa Carrington is in the medals once again, but this time in her alternate sport of surf lifesaving.
Bay of Plenty's Carrington has helped the New Zealand team get off to a good start at the International Surf Rescue Challenge in Japan which started yesterday.
She placed secondalongside Liam O'Loughlin in the mixed surf ski relay open event and second in the surf ski race female open.
The biennial event is being held across five days, ending on Sunday.
