With the opportunity to finish as high as third, Ngongotaha AFC will be looking to close their season with three straight wins.

Ngongotaha have two games remaining this season and face off against Waikato Unicol at 2.45pm tomorrow, at Stembridge Rd.

The Villagers currently sit comfortably in fourth spot and could charge into third if they beat Unicol and Taupo, in their final match.

They have just come off a one-week break, after defeating Rotorua United 5-2 at home.

The side have been in the Waibop Federation League for only two years, since being promoted at the end of the 2011 season. They finished in the top half of the competition last year and have improved this season in the top league.

The stand-out player has been captain Josh O'Sullivan, who joined the club this year from Rotorua United.

He is almost guaranteed the golden boot award this season with 26 goals next to his name.

The previous golden boot record in the Waibop Federation League was 24 goals.

The closest player to O'Sullivan this year is Matt Collins on 20 goals, from Tauranga City.
