Soccer: Fury aim to get back to winning ways

The clash between AFC Fury and Waikato Unicol looks like the key match in this weekend's WaiBop Federation League.

Fury were untroubled in winning their first four games but two draws have seen them drop important points.

Unicol are coming off a 5-0 win over Melville so they will confident ahead of this one.

Rotorua United need a win over Matamata Swifts to climb up the table.

United supporters will have given away any thoughts of taking the title and the focus is on getting away from the relegation zone.

Swifts are rebuilding and United should approach this game optimistically.

Meanwhile, Ngongotaha should take three points when they host Cambridge at Stembridge Rd.

The Villagers are third on the table at present and have shown enough evidence to suggest they could be genuine title contenders. Taupo have turned their disastrous start to the season around and they should be too good for Tauranga City at Links Ave.

In other games Whakatane Town host unbeaten Tauranga Old Blues, while Otumoetai are at home against Melville.

All federation league one games kick off at 2.45pm tomorrow.
