League: Taupo must flick switch and return to the boil

Rotorua's two premier sides are in action this weekend, with the pick of the round swinging the way of Ngongotaha and Taupo.

Taupo lie second behind Pikiao, while Ngongotaha cling to a semifinals spot in fourth place.

Taupo just beat bottom side Forestland (Tokoroa) last weekend, 28-26 at home, and will be looking to improve. They were the best in the competition earlier but have struggled for results of late.

Ngongotaha, meanwhile, have struggled for numbers, with only 13 players available in last weekend's defeat against Pacific.

They should be a lot stronger at Puketawhero Park tomorrow against Taupo.

Pikiao return from the bye and should be too good for Forestland in Tokoroa.

However, Forestland have pushed sides close in recent weeks and are not far off a morale-boosting win. Pacific (Tokoroa) have the bye.

All premier games start at 2.30pm tomorrow.
