League: Pikiao hot streak under real threat

Pikiao will look to extend their winning streak as they build towards the finals of the Bay of Plenty Rugby League premier division tomorrow.

The Rotorua-based club have won their last three games in scintillating fashion, including a 44-22 win last weekend against local rivals Ngongotaha.

They meet a strong Pacific (Tokoroa) side who will be buoyed after upsetting Taupo last weekend in Tokoroa.

Elsewhere, Ngongotaha play hosts to Forestland (Tokoroa) at Puketawhero Park.

Ngongotaha will want to bounce back after their loss to Pikiao last Saturday, and cling on to the top four.

Meanwhile, Taupo will be out to prove a point against Turangi after losing their first game last weekend.

All round five premier games start at 2.30pm tomorrow.

Ngongotaha host Putaruru, Pikiao host Pacific, Mangakino host Reporoa, Tauhara host Central and Taupo bye.
